Hosts

The first impression guests form of The O will start with our hosts. S/he must greet customers warmly and with a smile every time. Our hosts will engage with customers while showing them to their tables and distributing menus. In person or over the phone, hosts will always represent The O in a positive and friendly manner.

His or her minimum responsibilities include:

greeting guests as they enter
showing guests to their tables and providing them with menus
ensure guests have an appropriate amount of silverware at their table for party size
provide children with appropriate menus, entertainment supplies, and seating
maintain server rotation using POS system
answering phone calls and answering questions
adding guests to waitlist using POS system
knowledge of lunch/dinner menus
assist in taking carryout orders using POS system
be a team player--help other staff when necessary (including servers, food prep staff, food runners, bussers)
engage with guests in a friendly and professional manor throughout their visit
maintain restaurant cleanliness and a sanitary work environment
complete side-work as assigned each shift
accept and complete new tasks as needed
maintain the positive team atmosphere
maintain employee standards as outlined by management

Candidates must have:

night and weekend availability
a friendly and professional appearance
excellent communication skills
an ability to multitask and work successfully without supervision
an ability to work under pressure
a passionate desire to work in a team atmosphere
dependable transportation
a smile on your face every time you greet a guest at our door
previous experience as a host

Preferred candidates will have:

open availability (days, nights, weekends)
a desire to learn and expand your abilities and job position at The O
previous experience as a host in a high volume restaurant
